In order to welcome the 19th National Party Congress and display students’ spirit of love for the Party, love of the motherland, unity and progress, and strenuous efforts, we organized the “Celebrate the 19^thNational Congress and Build a Chinese Dream” Graduate Chorus Competition. After the preliminaries of the two-campus area, the final of the chorus competition was held on the evening of October 17th in the Zhngnan Concert Hall on the Chang’an campus.

Secretary of the Party Committee, Hui Gan attended the event and delivered a speech and more than 1,000 teachers and students watched the competition. In his speech, Secretary Hui Gan emphasized that the university arranged to hold a theme chorus competition for graduates before the 19th National Party Congress with special significance. It aims to use the art form of chorus to express the sincere love of the students for the Party and the country; guide students to actively implement the core values of socialism; resolutely support the leadership of the Party central committee with Xi Jinping as president, and demonstrate students’ love for the Party and our country. He hoped that the students would cherish the opportunity; consciously inherit the revolutionary tradition; integrate the individual's growth and development into the development of the country, the nation, and the university; keep in mind the mission; remain true to original aspiration and keep mission firmly in mind; and strive to become qualified constructors and reliable successors of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.

A total of 22 colleges (centers, institutes) teamed up for the graduate chorus competition. A total of more than 3,000 graduates, graduate supervisors, and graduate education management service workers participated in the event. The success of this chorus competition further deepened the education of the “Chinese Dream”, effectively enriched campus culture for graduate students and cultivated the spirit of patriotism and collectivism of graduate students. The chorus competition encourages graduate students to consciously integrate their personal ideals into their national, ethnic, and university careers, and to forge ahead in the forefront of the times and work hard to realize the Chinese dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
